School for Gifted and Talented is a modern-day tutoring centre, providing help for children and adults both online and offline in Maths, English, EFL (English as a Foreign Language), Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT), Chess, Foreign languages and more.

11+
11+ is a selective test that helps Grammar schools to identify children’s abilities. All children develop differently, and if your child’s aim is to pass an 11+ or entrance exam to a selective school, we are here to help.
KS3
Transition from primary to secondary education can be very stressful for a child and yet the years between 11 and 14 are crucial and are the building blocks for GCSE preparation.
Our private tutorials will give children a head start in learning the skills such as analytical and critical thinking, which they will need for GCSE.
GCSE
GCSEs are vital for further education and the world of work. In our vast experience as educators, we know that some children are too shy to ask questions in a large classroom environment or are unable to recognise gaps in their knowledge.

A-levels
A-levels are complicated assessments which require a vast number of skills and much greater depth of knowledge. We are often asked to help students in various subjects, which we do our best to accommodate, but we offer help in the following subjects permanently:

Business English
If you are looking at this topic, then you already know how vital it is to be fluent in English in any business environment around the world. Our tutoring centre’s ethos is in preparation of tailor-made programmes for the individual needs of our clients. It is particularly the case when we teach English as a Foreign Language.
We offer 2 levels of Business English
Level 1 – Beginners to Lower Intermediate (A1-A2)
Level 2 - Lower Intermediate to Upper Intermediate (A2-B1)
Individually and in small groups. We use a textbook, a workbook, a phone and computer app to enhance your learning experience between the sessions.

Languages
The benefits of knowing more than one language are undeniable. It improves cognitive function and develops cultural awareness in an increasingly small world.
All learners, both adult and children will benefit from meeting our tutors who are all bilingual and multi-cultural. They have a wealth of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language, as well as German, Spanish, French, Russian, Mandarin, Danish and other languages.
Russian Language classes
Russian School for Gifted and Talented is an inclusive supplementary school for children from 2 to 16 years of age.
We have 4 age groups. Lessons take place on Saturdays in Altrincham, Cheshire.
All our teachers are professional and bilingual. We offer reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as music (theory and practical).
We work on speech and language development, enhance children’s public speaking skills as well as creative writing.
Our Russian Language classes combine many learning/teaching techniques, including drama, musical expression, dance and movement, storytelling CLIL, Montessori, Calligraphy and play based learning.
In addition, we offer ONLINE classes.
chess
You can play the game of chess with anyone around the world. The list of qualities that it develops is endless, it includes strategic and analytical thinking, patience, planning, memory, focus, creativity, self-awareness, the ability to see from someone else’s prospective, delayed gratification, helps with ADHD.
Our “Manchester Check Mates” is a long-standing chess club for children aged between 6 and 12. We meet live online as well as in person in South Manchester, Altrincham on Tuesdays. We have 3 classes: Complete Beginners, Tactics and Strategies (Steps 1 & 2).
maths
Mathematics builds mental discipline and develops problem solving skills as well as playing a crucial role in understanding elements of other school subjects.
Our tutors help to identify possible gaps in knowledge and build confidence in understanding mathematical concepts. What makes us different is that we are happy to help beyond the school curriculum for those children who are talented and gifted in maths
Science
Science explains the reasons behind the daily functions of complex systems.
Our tutors can increase students ‘knowledge of the world around them and beyond, from the primary stage through to KS3, GCSEs and A-levels.
Computing and coding
Computer programming is a core element of modern life. It has become a sought-after skill and ensures that students have access to an increasingly fast paced world that relies on connections with technology.
Many parents have noticed that children go through computer and coding subjects in school without full understanding of its core structure and principles.
